General Dental Websites

The following links provide some good general information on dentistry.

D-DentOK

Dentist for the Disabled and Elderly in Need of Treatment, Inc. (D-DENT) was founded in the Spring of 1986. "Our mission is to help improve the oral health of Oklahomans in need by providing preventative dental education and free comprehensive dental care through a network of volunteer dentists."

MouthHealthy

Part of the American Dental Association, is the patient's guide to dental health. Learn about dental health topics, preventive oral care, etc.

Oklahoma Mission of Mercy

The Oklahoma Mission of Mercy, or OkMOM, is a two-day, free dental clinic offering treatment to patients that are either uninsured, under-insured or would normally not have access to dental care.  At the event, patients will undergo a dental screening to identify their needs and determine a treatment plan.  Each patient is then routed to the appropriate areas of the clinic:   oral surgery, extractions, restorations, pediatrics and hygiene.  Each year, OkMOM volunteers anticipate treating as many patients as possible over the course of the event.

The AGD’s consumer information section provides information on more than 50 oral dental health topics.

American Dental Association
